Take in the sights from incredible heights
Set by the River Thames, the London Eye (also called the “Millenium Wheel”) is a sight you won’t miss in the skyline of the UK’s capital. Hop onboard and you’ll slowly go up to unspoiled views of London.
The London Eye functions similarly to a Ferris wheel, but instead of seats, it offers 32 observation pods. In these you can walk around to get 360-degree views of the city below.
Standing at 135 metres (450 feet) tall, the Eye is the world’s largest observation wheel built on a cantilever. This makes the structure a marvel of modern engineering. If you decide to board, your rotation will last around 30 minutes.
Admire the top sights in the city centre, such as Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the UK parliament. On a clear day, you could even see all the way to Windsor Castle on the outskirts of the city.
We recommend that you book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. This way, you’ll get the best prices and be able to stroll up at your assigned visit time. Please note that it may take 15-45 minutes after your assigned time to get onto the wheel.
Local tip: Luggage and suitcases are not allowed on the London Eye, but there are storage facilities on-site for a small price.
