Iconic hill with panoramic views
Arthur’s Seat is the main peak of Edinburgh’s landmark hills, which form the majority of Holyrood Park. The hills are located just 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east of Edinburgh Castle and rise above the city at 822 feet (250 m) tall. The peak is popular with hillwalkers and is easily accessible from all sides. In Scottish mythology, Arthur’s Seat is often mentioned as the possible location of Camelot.
