The natural playground of the Highlands
Located in the northeast of Scotland, Cairngorms is a national park that was established by parliament in 2003. It is the largest national park in the British Isles, covering a whopping 4,528 km2 (1,748 sq mi). The crown jewel of the park are the spectacular Cairngorm mountains, though the park also features many popular tourist attractions, like the Highland Wildlife Park and the Dalwhinnie distillery.
