Trotternish is the Isle of Skye’s northernmost peninsula. It is known for the Trotternish landslips, a massive landslide that runs nearly the entire length of the peninsula.
The peninsula is hilly and popular among mountain bikers, who take to the circuit that runs the periphery of the point. 61% of the local population are Gaelic speaking, making Trotternish the most Gaelic speaking region on the Isle of Skye.
