What time zone is the UK in?

The UK is in the GMT/UTC time zone. Like most countries in Europe, Daylight Saving Time is observed, with the clock shifting forward one hour at the end of March and one hour backward at the end of October.

When does the sun rise and set in the UK?

The UK experiences a difference in seasonal daylight depending on where you are in the country.

For example, in the height of summer in Scotland it might not get dark until 11 PM, whereas in mid-winter it gets dark at around 3:30 PM. Conversely, in the summer in England or Wales it gets dark at around 9:45 PM while in winter it’s closer to 4 PM.
